RTI Barrel Washer

Does anyone know the best method for removing the barrel washer. Tried with a glove..no luck. Is it epoxied? Would a little heat break it free? Does any one know the thread pitch..is it 12x1 ?

It is probably on with a little loctite. You could get a paperclip and bend it in a U shape to stick in the holes and twist once heated up with a hot air gun. Or two really tiny allen wrenches in the holes. The threading is common moderator thread 1/2"-20.

Great ideas! Thx. Could have sworn I tried screwing a 1/2-20 mod on and it seemed like it didn’t want to spin on easily. I give it another try.

The barrel threads are 12mm x 1…close, but not 1/2-20
