RTI ARMS priest 2 performance valve seat replacement

Hello,

I wanted to increase the velocity on my Priest 2. So I removed the restictor, and could not get the 6.35 cal with jsb 34 gr above 870 ish fps.

I came up with a silly idea to drill the vent hole bigger to allow more air into the transfer port in the barrel. The problem is I
accidentally drilled into the valve seat. That causes air leak from the vent hole into the transfer port.

I couldn't find a way to remove the valve seat. Is there a way to remove the valve seat and order a replacement?

Or kindly advise if you have any suggestion to fix the problem. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Thank you so much.

Hi,

Thank you for the replies.

Well, I thought since removing the restictor increases the fps. A bigger vent hole would mean a better airflow and would increase the power a bit more. Since the vent hole is much smaller than the transfer port of the 6.35 cal barrel.

I have a dreamline which I can adjust the vent hole from small to big, and the difference in power is significant, just by having it set at the biggest vent hole.

So is there a way to replace the valve seat only or I do need a new rear block?

Also, is my theory, that drilling a bigger vent hole close to the size of the transfer port would increase the power? I would like to achieve 1000 fps with hp slug 36 gr.

Looking forward to your advices.

Thanks guys.

This may be apple to oranges , But I opened up the port on one of my CZ 22 barrels.
The reason was it was a very small port , I saw the port on the RPB barrel and its huge,
Opening up the port did nothing to my gun power wise or anything else that I can tell.
Even the port on my 177 LW barrel is bigger than the 22 CZ barrel port,,,,,,
Like I say apples to oranges ..

You could add a hammer weight, if there isn’t one in there already.
Yeah, I’d agree.

I weighed the hammers on my two Prophet Performance V1s, they were both 30.65 grams - I’ll have to double check that - confirmed at 30.65 grams.

With those stock hammers, the Prophet will easily get 34g .25 pellets up to 1,000fps using 150-160 range reg pressure. (Using stock hammer spring).

The Priest isn’t that different… take out your hammer and weigh it.

Also measure the length of your hammer spring- I’ll post the stock Prophet spring length in a bit.

Stock RTI Prophet Performance V1 hammer spring is 2.63” length, .38” outer diameter and .24” inner diameter.
