I bumped up the regulator pressure on my Royale's regulator to 160 from 150. First thing I noticed afterwards was that the regulated would drift down and then up exceeding the original setting (test gauge connected). After watching Ernest's video on dis-assembling one I tore my down after taking all the needed measurements. If was pretty nasty inside and the internal orings on the piston were flattened out and worn. Fortunately I had all the correct O-rings for a rebuild but one which I found that a 010 was close enough to the same size that it would work. I even resurfaced the piston seat in a drill press to remove the indention. I reassemble it and had to make two additional adjustments to get it to 160bar. After a shot it would dip down 2-3bar but return to and settle at 160. It was looking great even after setting a couple of hours with my test gauge still hooked up. I decided to add a little air to the tank and for what ever reason the regulated side decided to increase to the same as the bottle side. I tried firing a few shots but it failed to control back to 160. This morning I dis-assembled it again but everything looked good. I relubed everything and re-assembled it again but the regulated side still followed the bottle pressure. Just wondering if anyone has had the same issue and how it was resolved.
