Royale breech seal life expectancy?

For some reasons many Royale .22 owners are having that same issue with the stock o'ring, you can do either one of two things: buy 10 polyurethane o'rings (the stock ones) for 20 bucks in amazon and keep changing them every two tins, or try other two with the same size but differents materials and hardness.
If i where you this is the o'ring sequence i would try since if you start with a too hard o'ring from the begining that may damage the pellet skirt when entering the barrel:
- pur70 (polyurethane, the one that comes as standard) (10 for 20$)
- buna70 (100 for 10$)
- buna90 (100 for 10$)

pd: if you like i can share with you the amazon link to every one of those as i have already bought them, they worked perfectly

I made it through about 12-15 tins (which is beyond what I would expect) worth of pellets until my seal came out. The next one lasted about 3 tins. I replaced the polyurethane with a buna 90 seal that is more pliable and I'm still shooting on it. Most airguns don't use a polyurethane breech seal. I know they are durable but stiff.
Has it done this since new? I've heard of some Royale owners having chronic problems with it.

"Mrshosted"Try using some silicone grease on your probe once and a while. FYI don't get carried away less is more. Silicone is great for rubber.
I would not recomend that as the silicone can enter the barrel affecting your accuracy.
Even if it doesn't, when the pellet passes through the o'ring with silicone it can affect it as well
I've never had any problems, In fact I've had less problems with the breach seal leaking and wearing. Now As I stated "less is more" I sure if a person was to get carried away you could have a silicone mess all the way down the barrel. With that, to much it could affect your accuracy, but so will a leaded dirty barrel. I'm sure the silicone grease could collect lead, but the idea is to use only what you need to lube the probe and preserve the Oring. To Clarify, I use a tooth pick with a dab of grease on the end, spread evenly over the probe. Wiping away any extra or build up. Leaving only a sheen of silicone on the probe.
May if these where worries for you,try using silicone in spray on a q-tip. Moisten the Q-tip with the silicone spray. Carefully wiping down the breach Oring when finished shooting for the day. Allowing the silicone to preserve the rubber, a small amount time will flash away any unneeded products.

The thing is the stock o'ring isn't rubber but polyurethane, it's designed to resist the friction with the pellet probe and the problem isn't that the o'ring is getting damaged but blowed out. It may help tho as the o'ring will have less resistance to the probe, but it will require to be wet at all times and that's not practial at all

Here s the FX Royale parts list. I order most of my o'rings from them. You can get every o'ring for the Royale through o'rings and more. When I order from them I get them from the East coast to the West coast in three days. I also buy from amazon from time to time when I need a special material also (PUR).

I also have the American o'ring numbers like the valve seat, reg, and power wheel if need be.

I replaced the seal on my Royale and everything is good now. But it occurred to me as I was working on this seal replacement that not too long before the breech seal blew, I pulled some patches with Ballistol through the bore.

While I believe Ballistol is safe to use, wonder if I had put too much on the patches. As I pulled them through the breech perhaps this lubricant squeegeed out and got behind the o-ring and making it easier to pop out.
