Looks like the good folks at Rowan have slightly changed their design on their robust adj mechanisms. In the first 2 pics there’s an older mechanism (I got this 2nd hand over a year ago, so am unsure of when exactly it was made) between 2 new ones for comparison. Older one is on top in the 3rd pic.
The holes in the center for the adjustment wheels are now covered, and 4 machined set screws (2 above and 2 below) on each end of the mechanism. Solid, robust, precise: just like my older one.
