Rookie Mistakes?

My wife said, "rookie mistake" ... every single springer & pcp you have purchased in this hobby venture of yours.

Embarrassing to admit. First air gun was a big bore. To slug the barrel I cut several 8 inch wood dowels knock a slug thru from the muzzle. Decided to do 2 slugs to check that both where the same. I mistakenly left 2 of the dowels in the barrel when knocking the 2nd thru. Fortunately was able to cut the dowels one little piece at a time with a Coping Saw blade at the breach and didn't plug the barrel.
Need less to say I was in panic mode thinking I'd Fd-up a brand new gun when I initially realized what I'd done.

My first Rookie mistake? BB's bounce back!

I'm embarrassed to admit I overfilled my gun by accidentally watching the regulator instead of the pressure gauge. Fortunately the bottle and everything else handled it without drama. I bled out the extra and continued on with my day. It was definitely a scary moment, though!

Buying an affordable pcp because it's on a deal with no intended purpose. Than later looking for a purpose for it to fill. Than going back to my main pistol, carbine and rifle realizing they already fit the bill.

And doing it over again, and again, and again, and..........
