What is your experience with these? Does anyone have before/after comparisons to their stock trigger pull weight?
I bought both a .30 cal LSS and a .50 cal. plain Texan. These were new, old stock (old style trigger guards, new rifles). The triggers on both rifles are completely unacceptable for rifles at this price point. My trigger pull gauge came in yesterday, so I'll be verifying my suspicion as to how much these triggers weight before the night is over. The triggers need to be in the 2 lb range, so there's some work to do.If I remember correctly it does not effect pull weight alone but feels so much better with the smooth wheel bearing in the unit. I had one briefly on a talon p before selling but I also had the Talon Tunes light trigger spring also. So much better than the first 2 times I shot it with the stock trigger..
I do miss it. I traded it towards a leshiy classic .
What airforce platform are you running?
This is exactly the input I needed to hear! I can go from zero to a-hole in a millisecond, and nothing sets me off quicker than crappy customer service. These two new rifles are over $4k. That's not peanuts, especially for non-firearms. I'm tempted to post my entire text string on FB Messenger with their marketing dude. He sent me an angry face. How embarrassing....Yes the Texan trigger sucks. Its not light. Its not two stage unless you count a mile of creep!!! Airforce will void your warranty for any excuse possible!!! If you install this trigger Airforce won't warranty the gun. Don't believe the hype online Airforce break. If you have a 45 or 50 TX2 valve and actually shoot it... It will break and need some parts. I put just one talon tunes spring in the trigger to.try improve the pull. My Texan broke sent it in for warranty . Airforce changed out every internal part then the tech called me and said warranty wouldn't cover anything. $430.00 . They kept my rifle for.months. I put a post on the forum here and once it had about 1000 views Airforce sent my rifle back.and just had to pay shipping. I had the worst warranty experience ever!!! My Texan 50 broke again shortly after getting it back.. I.tore.it down to.figure out what's actually going on.... My Texan 50 actually wears out the pin.going through the sear!!! Texans need a better trigger and it is absolutely garbage you can't install a after market trigger without voiding your warranty forever... I'm speaking from experience..
I've been asking the same question. The triggers on Airforce Texans suck donkeys. Are there any vendors with RMPA precision triggers in stock? My understanding was the guy behind RMPA was suddenly laid off or something like that and it threw a wrench in his plans to get the company off the ground.
...as I'm writing this I just checked the RMPA website and it is gone. It was live a week or so ago last i checked.
Hopefully the guy isn't in bad shape and had to cancel his webhosting.
He has a precision chassis for the Condor that was due to enter production soon.
