Rock chucks oh ya!

Had a good 250 round day again and got a call from my son. 15 Rock Chucks 13 with Brococks .22, large one at 60 yards with Terminator and one with slug, said both gave the tail up surrender. Others at various ranges and one nest that had 8 WOW. Mix in some ground squirrels and collard doves and a few starlings for a busy day. Well the fun will soon come to an end as we and he and his girl friend are headed home Sunday, pests will have a holiday.

Sounds like a great day. So of the 15 rock chucks you took one with a slug? Which slug did you use? The other 14 were taken with pellets? I enjoy rock chuck hunting. Where I live the rock chucks are still under snow. We have to go up into the mountains at about 8000 feet to find them. I won’t see any until about mid June when the snow melts off.

Sounds like my day on the golf course!

Actually 2 at 100 yards or better were with a 17 HMR, 13 were air gun kills 1 at 60yards with the slug and 1 at 60 yards with a Terminator and the rest in closer with the Terminator. The slug was a 17 grain Griffin. This was my son and his GF Shooting Brococks, two killing machine's both guns and Pesters. I'm shooting ground sqirrels while in quarantine with Crowns and just went somewhere over 3000 rounds.
