I've been struggling to find a good, inexpensive scope to use on a springer for hunter field target. I think the search is over.

The Good
- Price - $247 at Amazon. WFT?
- The reticle - has .2 mil hashes. I was a little concerned if the hashes would be too small at 16x, but they aren't. Reticle is good to go.
- The glass - looks as clear as most of my medium-high end scopes
- The turrets and sidewheel - all firm and clickable, not mushy.
- FFP - not a deal killer, but SFP is better for bracket ranging in my opinion. The sweet reticle makes up for this to a large degree.
- The illuminated reticle (indifferent) - it's fine if you like them, but it makes mounting a sidewheel a little bit of a hassle if you ever want to use it.
- No sun shade. Not a big deal if putting it on a springer, but for a PCP it would be nice if it came with a sun shade. But I'll refer back to the price. They list them on their $45, I don't need one that bad.
- Ranging past 40 yards - doesn't have much snap (depth of field), but it's as good or slightly better than other sub $500 scopes I have at 16x. I would call this more of an indifferent, it ranges as good as I expected at this price point.
