the scenery up here is amazing. there's a reason idaho is getting flooded with transplants from all over the US.

its not quite a million dollars for a cabin in that area yet. give it one or two more years though, and it may get there. thats what happened to mccall and sun valley!

JohnnyPDX - Brundage is a great place to ski! now that deer season is over, you would have most of this area to yourself. this would be a great time to make a trip up!

lol - didn't shoot any potatoes. growing up here, the potatoes were typically the projectile in big pvc pipe potato guns :D

The Missus has all these Alaska Air miles...... companion passes etc.. and wants to fly into Boise then drive to McCall for a snow machine trip to Burgdorf. I am GAME!

That was our first snow machine trip, along time ago, and I thought 25 miles one-way was a loooooong ways, haha, it was nothing. The first half was deep snow and I learned quickly how The Throttle Is Your Best Friend. God it was freaky deep then at the halfway point we ran into the groomer and it was easy cruizzzin. Loved it.

Couple warmer upper drinks at the bar in the meadow and down the pike we went.

Idaho is a horrible place and should be avoided. 😲 I hear Texas is a nice place to relocate. 😃

...i meant to say what he said :).

sometimes i get really annoyed at how busy the mountains have gotten in idaho. sometimes i really like the fact that so many people are able to enjoy the amazing access we have to the outdoors here that i grew up with

usually i land on the former though :D

It's all about attitude.

We've been in lots of way out of the way places in Western states and a smile, good manners and good conversation goes a long ways with the locals. I know there are some poophead tourists and I've met plenty but we always treat locals VERY respectfully. Leave the city attitudes behind and NEVER trespass!!!!!!!!!

For city libs Idaho, Montana and Wyoming are a shocker when they see open carry, it's laughable. I feel way more comfortable with open carry folks around and I carry for sure.

Riggins - used to hunt that area when in High School. Absolutely HIDEOUS scenery, anyone thinking about relocating there should have their head examined! Terrible I tell you, TERRIBLE. Please go to Texas. Texas wants you, Riggins, you don't want that place!

Just don't drive the property prices up before I get a couple acres. Until then, GO TO TEXAS!

YES I AGREE!!! You should only live in Idaho if you are BORN THERE!!! Like me, great grand parents, grand father / mother and father....me = 4th generation! :D (or adopt local ways.)

@sticman77 Beautiful wirehair too!!!

The Riggins area is nice, but I prefer the more central region. If you go up north of Sun Valley over Glena Summit into the Stanley Basin, it is one of the most beautiful places on Earth to me and then head into the Pahsimeroi valley or go further north to the Montana up lookout pass.

Pahsimeroi Valley (Probably one of the most "hidden" un hidden places in Idaho.) Ps. my friends will be pissed I mentioned the Pahsimeroi Valley
