I am trying to pump air into a brocock sniper via handpump and the gauge on the climbs a lot and hets really hard to pump but the gun doesnt seen to be taken it? Its a foster fitting so not sure how I could be doing this wrong.
Yes I started to get concerned because gun reads 150 bar and pump reads like 3,000psi? On my last attempt the fitting on the gun made a funny sounds so I stopped.did the pump gauge go past the pressure in the gun?
if not,you didnt pump enough.
what pressure is the gun at?
and what pressure did the pump gauge rise to?
Cock back or full back and close?Did you try cocking the gun before trying to fill it? Foster on the gun could be defective.
Ok, maybe the pressures on the gauges arent meshing up. It just seemed like the effort was so hi on the handpump. There is a small pop when the pump reaches the air pressure of the gun and opens up the foster fitting check valve.
You have to keep pumping until you hear the check valve release, at that point, subsequent pumps of air go into the bottle. God bless you for pumping up a bottle gun… I couldn’t imagine pumping up my Bantam Sniper HR.Ok, maybe the pressures on the gauges arent meshing up. I am only doing it because the extended fitting that comes in the box isn't the same thread as my GX pump for some reason and the foster on the gx pump isnt long enough to get up in the stock where the fitting is. I really want a solution so I can get the longer foster fittinf onto my hose. You have to keep pumping until you hear the check valve release, at that point, subsequent pumps of air go into the bottle. Thank you, I will get one ordered mondayThis is the extended foster fill for my Bantam:
1. The extended female foster
2. the adapter (that won’t screw into your compressor.
3. Adapter with male foster end you can insert into the female foster on your compressor.
I hope this helps… I got that adapter from Airguns of Arizona. Good luck.

I'd just pull the action out of the stock to fill with the GX.
