Rifle recommendation? Power like the Diana 34. Quiet like the HW30

If the INDY is not your cup of tea, having owned a Diana 54 and a Air Arms Pro Sport, both in .22 I can say hands down the AA ProSport is the most elegant and refined of the two. Yes, the 54 has more power but the ProSport is the more accurate and least hold sensitive. Also unquestionably the ProSport is the quietest. I am able to make 1' groups at 35 yards with the JSB HADEs .22 pellets with the ProSport, as long as I can cock the rifle. Would not recommend it for more that 50 yards on anything other than head shots on rabbits though.

The Diana 34 barrel can be cut to 15 1/2 “ , re-chock and re-crown and it will continue shooting great up to 50 yards ! Mine is doing it !

If you want a take down backpack rifle you really can’t go wrong with a Benjamin 392. I don’t know what they call it these days, and the stock is plastic now, but it’s a single screw deal for take down. You can pump it less for quiet plinking but full power shots are loud.
