Ricochet Potential

Hello,

I am shooting a .25 cal. out of a Benjamin Marauder. I like to shoot metal spinners, however I live in the open plains and car hear ricochets when hitting metal spinners at about 50 yards. I want to be safe and assure no one or thing can be hit by a pellet ricochet. Does anyone have an idea of the maximum distance a ricochet can travel in my circumstance?

Thank you.

I guess this won't help much. I use to set up from 10 yards out to 55 yards those animal targets from steel plinker with the knock down paddles. Any way I heard some ricochets and heard a pellet hit some steel junk in the neighbors yard. I was shooting 50 yards then the pellet went sideways about 30 yards. So I ended up making a steel box target with steel targets inside where the ricochets are contained. I do set up some swingers against my block wall with a 24" plate behind them. I liked how I shot before but worried the piece of pellet could get me in trouble or hurt someone. In my case shooting a 177 I dont think there would be enough energy left to hurt anything. But
