Reversing Daystate magazine

I just bought a Daystate Red Wolf. The magazine is reversable to a right-side entry, which would allow me to use a larger side focus wheel on the left. But I'll be darned if I can get the pin out of the magazine. If anyone has done this and has a secret tactic, I would appreciate hearing it.

I wanted to do the same thing and was having the same problems. So...I cut the focus wheel in front of the minimum setting and after the maximum setting...worked great. Plenty of wheel to focus and room to install the magazine throughout the focus range.

I just switched install sides on my .22 Huntsman Regal Huma magazine. I did have to use a vice to remove the pin but it was easy after a twist back & forth & pull. To remove the magnet I drilled about a 1/2" deep hole into a 2x4 and used a pin punch (smallest Harbor Freight one in the kit) to easily knock the magnet into the hole after aligning it with the slightly oversized hole. The pin went into the opposite side with a slight tap with a hammer & the same with the magnet. Works just fine so far. I initially hesitated doing this because new mags are $99 each, but it wasn't bad at all.
