Returning Air Gunner

I'm Tom, returning to air gunning after a long (like, 50 year) break. Started back in the spring with a Walmart Crossman Legacy 1000, now have a Gamo Whisper Fusion Magnum in .22 and (the Crown Jewel) Beeman R9 .177 on the way. Past history being a classic Sheridan pump .20 when I was an early teenager. Had good eyes and calm nerves back then, could stand on the front porch and pop the top off of a Starling's head, across the road, on the power lines, with iron sights. Sadly, those eyes and nerves are long gone. Now it's scopes and practice, try to regain that accuracy. I'll be back, asking many questions I'm sure, as the heat breaks and Fall comes when I head to the range and woods..

Many of us have followed a similar pattern of guns owned. I think that you’ll notice quite a difference when your R9 arrives. That is an outstanding do-it-all spring gun. Congrats.

Awesome choice on a fine rifle. I suggest some H&N Field Target Trophies 8.64 452 headsize OR H&N Baracuda Match 10.65 452 headsize. They are german pellets that are designed to work in german air rifles.
