Resighting the leveled scope with the new rest.

Took my first shots off the new rest after leveling the scope. Wow is it nice, if I don't say so myself 😁.

3 pumps in the Benji at 30 feet ... man I'm glad I used a large box filled with rags. The very first shot with CPHPs was 7 inches high and 4 inches left!

Instead of counting clicks, I just turned the vertical turret about 3/4 turn downwards and the horizontal turret right about 1/3 turn right.

The 2nd shot was MUCH closer, but still more than a bit high/left. About 2 dozen clicks down and maybe 20 right, and I was in the ballpark.

Switched to the second aiming point and it was really close, with one flier high/right.

I was about to fine tune with the RWS SHPs, but dad duty called. So the final adjustments will have to wait.

I usually look through my scope Aiming at the exact poA and watch as i turn the turrets till they are on top of the last impact . BINGO .
In the last picture let us say you were aiming at the circles black impact but you poi impacted in the pink circle . SO you put the cross hairs on the black dot and watching the cross hairs, turn the turrets till they are on the pink WITHOUT MOVING THE SCOPE / rifle at all . just watch the cross hairs move ., now reload and aim at the black dot . repeat till your on target . Much easier than guessing clicks .

I kind of get what you're saying. I also saw that method on YouTube, but I'm not sure I could have held everything steady - looking through the scope, turning the turret and watching for the crosshairs to line up with the desired impact point.
Actually it is much simpler than it reads , just aim like your going to shoot concentrate on the black dot in the picture do not move the gun or your eye just keep aiming at the black dot ! stair like the cross hairs are not ,moving but they are just drifting across till they match your POI in the pink , you are still starring imaginary crosshairs at the black dot your eye never or scope ,never moved .

I actually tried that, and it moved the poi farther away, so I probably did it wrong 😅.

I did manage to get a 10 shot group, 3 pumps @ 30 feet, 3/4" CTC. Not the tightest group in the world, but still, one ragged hole.
