Replacement stock for Taipan Veteran, reasonable price, made in U.S....

Guys...Taipan Veteran owners might have a local source for a replacement stock at low cost for our guns. Check out the pictures below. One is "Maddog" Doug's stock for the AirForce guns.

I've owned several of Dougs products before and he is a craftsman in his particular art! I sent him the pics and asked him to consider producing a run of these in various lengths for the Veteran. He works with Randy at R&L, who carries Dougs stocks, so he has access to the Short, Standard, and Long OEM stocks!

Here's his contact information...

The finish is fairly smooth and I'll bet I could Cera-Coat, or Hydo-Dip it quite easily...if I get tired of black!

I have a mad dog stock on a 25 marauder -tuned it into a bull pup- it looks a whole lot better when I Camo painted it . Just blah without it , just my own opinion . With such a high $ gun I too would leave it original unless I was think of doing some type of camo design on it .Those stocks are not really that cheap, mine I bought from a forum friend on here to replace it I could buy a puncher breaker for about the same price. Have you looked at the marauder style bull pup stock ? Looks a little closer to the Taipan's if he did a little shaving to it again only my opinion . Best of luck Darell

I bought an after market stock for my 22 Mutant, I think it was made in Italy??? Ugly as hell but super light, I sanded it down and refinished it , Looks a little better , But its 1/2 the weight of a OEM mutant stock. And the OEM stock is very light weight ,

Mike

Mike, care to share where you found your stock. There's no one in the U.S. to go to, other than Maddog.

Thanks!

I’ll don’t mind the ugly factor if we can make the weight 1/2

have you seen a video on YouTube where a guy is using a tactical stock? He is speaking in russian so I couldn’t undertand a word

Guys...all that he has done is take three separate parts and use an existing attachment piece to hold the bi-pod. The handle and butt plate are held in place by a piece of aluminum bar machined to match the bottom of the Veteran, then drilled and threaded for the other parts to fit. There's no trigger guard because of the difficulty of attaching it.

I hear fluent Russian, at the very end he explains everything in detail.

Any qualified machinist should be able to cut and drill the handle and butt plate. John Hagan does some fine work, although he might need the gun, or at least precise measurements. Why not take off the stock and see where it is attached, and look for other available places to screw onto.

ps: I said I "hear" fluent Russian, I didn't understand him, but I heard him just fine!
