Went to the dairy yesterday with the Renegade and took down about 40 doves in just over an hour. Gun performed flawlessly. Went out this morning to the yard for some target shooting, aimed, pulled the trigger and...NOTHING. First thought was the battery so I removed the stock and checked it, less than 8 volts. Replaced the battery, and back to normal again.
I just bought this gun on March 1st and Daystate claims a battery life of around 17000 shots. No way on earth that I've put 17,000 pellets through it yet, not even a third of that many. Maybe it was a faulty battery or it was old from sitting on the shelf at AOA. Hopefully there isn't anything draining the battery, time will tell.

Mine came with some junk battery that I changed out the first day I had the gun. Have put over 8,000 rounds through it over the past year and still going strong...

yep, same here. stock battery was junk. new battery no problems

It had an off brand battery, probably junk. You'd think with the price of gun they could put a decent battery it in it.

You WOULD think that. But even their new flagship Redwolf apparently comes with a battery system that does not seem to be on par with its price.

Yeah I agree, it's a shamefully poor setup for such a high end gun. It would be a deal breaker for me, if I was seriously considering one.

Anything you buy today usually comes with cheap batteries. I think you have to expect that even in this case. Thanks God they chose to use available batteries over the counter. You can only imagine the price of buying "special" batteries.
