Reliability

I own a Brocock Bantam, A Daystate Renegade, an FX Wildcat and an FX T12.

The FX guns have both performed flawlessly since new with no issues.

The Bantam had accuracy issues from day one and even had some loose screws. Kip at AOA corrected it by crowning and polishing the barrel.
The Renegade bought on 3-1-18 has been eating breech seals, occasional bad fliers (2 inch bad) loose screws and cocking issues. I dropped it off yesterday for service at AOA.

Is it just my luck, or is there a quality control issue with Daystate/Brocock?

If there is a manufacturer, there is someone that'll get a lemon or a gun with issues. Seems like you have got daystate/brocock ones... My daystates have been flawless.
I got a dud Vulcan that needed replacement. Don't hear of many of them that are crap.

I know others who have had the same with their FX's. Even someone who had an Air arms that was a big dud, and they're famously reliable with very good QC.

When I first got my compatto 22 Cal I had a time finding the right pellet it liked. Wouldn't shoot anything real well but settled on AA 16gr. They shot pretty good jsb shot well but not as good as I wanted and figured it was just the way it was going to be. Yesterday I took the shroud off and thought I would shoot it....shot GREAT! I looked in the past and thought I may have a clipping issue but never seen any on the shroud or the hugett ..so that got me thinking to start checking screws, o-rings.. everything. After I tightened everything up and replaced the o-rings that centers the shroud with one that's a bit more snug it shoots great. So I'm guessing there was a slight alignment issue.
