Rekord trigger

Has anyone been successful in adjusting it to get a safe consistent 6oz 2nd stage release? My tuned trigger releases at 10-12oz but even a slight further counter clockwise turn of the “big gold screw” only reduces the 1st stage wt. My trigger is actually pretty darn good right now but getting the pull wt. down a bit should make the gun more FT accurate. Uj

First thing is replacing the spring under that big gold screw with a lighter one.

Second is the sear engagement set screw in the bar sticking out of the trigger block in the front. Be careful and only make very small adjustments at a time! You can see the sear though the big hole in the side of the block.

I adjust it with the gun cocked and loaded pointing in a safe direction! Again do very small adjustments at a time but should be able to get what your looking for if you take your time..

Anything near a pound on my R1, and the first stage goes limp on an occasional basis/

This is my experience also. I crank mine down until the first stage won't return, then tighten up just until it barely will. I don't set them for weight or target any specific weight.

Lately both of my Rekord triggers have been sent off to Ed Kryznowek for some smoothing and proper lube (along with the rest of the rifles). The first one came back perfect so I sent him another.

If anyone is looking for a tuner I'll tell them Ed is a good choice. His work is meticulous and he is a pleasure to work with.
