Rekord Trigger - so proud of myself

Probably nothing to most of you, but historically I have been a Type AAA+ person, and now at 65 and a few years from at least some time in retirement, I have decided it is time for me to take on a few tasks that require me to learn more patience.

Typically and heretofore relying totally on Airgun craftsman like Scott Schneider at Motorhead (who has never failed and has always provided perfect service), after a few weeks, I decided to take on the complete tear down of one of my HW97K Rekord triggers.

This particular trigger had a significant amount of drag and creep that refused to come out with any amount of adjustment.

It was easy to find video on line as to how to disassemble and polish the sears, but there were no videos in how to reassemble.

I hand polished with five different emery grits every contact surface, lubricated, and adjusted.

It was like a puzzle to figure out where the spacers and springs that had fallen out during disassembly had to be repositioned and how to do that and get the pins realigned and pushed in all at once. It took me about six hours to get all of this done, but in the end, the results were stunning, smooth as silk with a perfect trigger break, no creep, no drag.

Fun project.
