Redwolf issues - thoughts?

I have a swanky spanky new .177 Redwolf with an odd development. I was rechecking my scope to create my dope chart and all at once it began throwing pellets 5” high and following with several inches low…. It was a laser. Definitely not the scope as this wasn’t a POI shift because it acted like a valve was staying open too long or short - anybody have a idea?

Scrub the barrel, I know my HP in 22 would lead up within a couple hundred shots. But I was humming those MRD in there! Throw a chrono on it while it is acting up to see if the board or whatever regulates the shots is acting up. Try shooting it wiithout the moderator too. You may have pellet clipping.I agree with the battery statement too.
Thx
Dan

What exactly did checking your scope entail? Did you torque any mounting hardware?
I would re-zero the scope and shoot the heck out of it. See if your POI changes. If you cannot get it to duplicate the issue the factory won’t be able to either and you will have waited for no reason.
Try a different scope just to make sure.

I’ll try several more things this weekend, unfortunately I was prepping the RW for an FT event early this coming Saturday - murphies law 🥴 the good news is I have a Fx crown in a grs stock ready to go - mag dump at 55 yards, maybe my crown thinks it should be my primary FT platform?

Update.... at 4:45 a.m. this morning i kept coffee thinking....it has to be simple...checked the moderator, checked breech and barrel orings, yeah my scope is fine - tight and torqued to spec. Scratch scratch scratch...? Then i says to meself...battery? So I go out to the Mancave and pull the RW out of the gun cabinet and i turn on the RW. I'm seeing the menu but NOT battery life, but but but but? Then I start cycling through the electronic menu to see if i can SEE battery life elsewhere as i scroll through the menu. No luck. So I decided to scroll through the menu and test menu functions - like mag choice, count reset, etc.. making basic menu updates. Kicker - after making a change in the menu, i wasn't getting the profound CLICK/CLUNK sound you are supposed to get when you close the breech bolt, which is like hitting the enter key on your computer - confirmation of (all done).
Hmmmmmmmm?
Take the battery out "he says". Now mind you i watched all the videos exclaiming how long these batteries last...threatening to put the energizer bunny out of business. But I pull the battery out anyway and plug her in.
Note: My first time doing this as i just got the gun and thought certainly this was fully charged before testing and shipping?
Long story short - battery charger indicated all three cells were RED and DEAD.
I left the RW's battery on charge for the day so i can see how she looks tonight - hoping for mean and green lights that indicate "stupid is as stupid does, or in this case doesn't do".

Sounds like you have found the problem, but, if not, clean the barrel. I had a very similar experience with my RAW. I was shooting a 25 yard target in the yard, and suddenly my shots missed the entire box, at least 5 or 6 inches off. I cleaned the barrel, and that was it, and it never happened again. Like all of us, I've had a dirty barrel degrade accuracy, but never to that extreme, so it can happen.

Study up online as to the care of LiPo batteries. These aren’t your normal ‘energizers’. They are lithium polymer and like to be treated with some care and f you want them to last. Also this battery configuration is used in air soft guns so a couple extras are like $20. Nice to have but need to be stored at storage voltage 3.85 per cell.
Lastly buy a real charger.
