Redwolf .25 HP

Yes It doesn't seem like there is a lot of enthusiasm for the red wolf HP in 25. I've got the hots for a Red Wolf HP and I'm tempted to buy the 25 because I have a Red Wolf walnut standard gun in 22. BUT from what I've been able to glean from the forum the HP shoots the heavy 22 pellets so will there isn't much reason to go to the 25. I'd even suggested to AOA that they need to test the 22 against the 25 at 100 yards. No real interest in them doing that because the out come will affect the sales of one or the other in a negative way. I have heard however that the sales staff is recommending the 22 caliber in the Red Wolf. When I get real serious I guess I'll call and talk to them. Better yet I'm going to be out there in January so I may wait until I can feel and touch and talk directly.

I'm interested what you're interested in whitetail and if you can wait to January maybe I'll know something.,

White, if you want more fps with the 34's then yes you will have to program it up. There is nothing to turn up. All is done electronically.

I have the RedWolf HP .22. If I had to get rid of all my guns but one, the RedWolf would be the one I keep. It is very accurate, sweet to look at and it does everything I need. It shoots the 34's reasonably. It shoots the 25 gr very well and hits like a train. On mid level I can get the 25s at around 880 and they fly very well there too. Then on the low setting, I can shoot the 18's at around 890 fps for the 25 m matches. It is very accurate and gets about 120-130 shots before it starts looking like I might put air in it. I think on low, it will get 240 shots. So I can shoot an entire match without refilling if I want to.

But I have found that the sweet spot for my .22 on low with 18's is about 180b down to about 150b. And that is a ton of shots.
