Red wolf v rail is not 11mm

Hi

Just purchased a 20 moa v rail to picatinny. Red wolf v rail is NOT 11 mm but 12.37!

V on 20 moa to picatinny measures 11.12.

There is no adjustment as v is fixed on moa so will not slide over . Why does this v rail not conform?

I believe what you purchased is for a Kelby style dovetail to pic rail conversation? This is a BR center fire mount Not compatible with airgun 11mm.

Just measured my RW dove tail, and it's 11mm. One end if the dove tail is closed, thus larger. Are you sure you're not trying to slide it on the closed end?

Your measurement suggests it is a 3/8” rail rather than an 11mm. A 3/8” rail will usually measure somewhere between 12 – 13mm across the outside dimension which agrees with your 12.37mm. 

Can you post a picture of the adapter or a link to it?

edit - Just saw Ed’s reply. Hopefully that’s all it is.

Actually, a 3/8" dovetail is a bit smaller, about 9.5 mm. There are 12 and 13 mm dove tails used also, but not common.

Hi guys

This (ornament) lol, I bought is for cz rifles. Just so we all learn, guess most of you know but I didn’t.

V rails to fit rifles like cz, tikka etc normally just slide on , no lateral adjustment with a clamp bolt on the side.

The measurement I gave is outside over the widest point. So most V to picatinny normally state gun ie Tikka. No use for my RW and doubtless most airguns..

RW V rail- outside 12.8 mm Inside 11.42mm, measured this time carefully.

I do not like the no limit rings or equivakent in other makes. Trying to keep down the height.

I mainly use the single shot not mag.
