Tuning Red Wolf Tune

I have a Red Wolf HP in .22 cal. With the G2 board. I would really like to concentrate shooting the 25 grain JSB or FX pellet on medium power. I am wondering if I can improve on the factory settings by purchasing a tuner or are the gun’s settings from the factory about as good as it gets? I am not familiar enough with electronic tuning to know if the gains you might see are worth the price of a tuner. Any advise is greatly appreciated. Thanks

If you know specifically what you want, then you can almost for sure tune to it. If that's the case, I would be inclined to have it done by a tuner, if it's likely to be a one time thing. I don't have a tuner, but have watched a couple of videos. It's a bit tedious, but nothing that almost anyone can't do. I considered getting one for my standard power Red Wolf, but it shoots good, so I decided against it. But, it would probably be a lot of fun.

Another option is the Helliboard from Greece. Having owned a couple Red Wolfs, I have seen them shoot really well on the factory tune, but even better with the Helliboard. It comes with 12 settings preset that are very good as is, but you can still program them from the gun.

It was more versatile than stock and allowed me to use more pellets options aside from the JSBs that the rifle seemed tuned for. My shot strings were also more consistent with the Helliboard. Many on here use them, so you can buy with confidence. I would definitely buy another if I purchased another Red Wolf (and have been considering picking up a standard 177).

Have no fear. Jack is a great guy and is happy to answer your questions and help. If the search function was working, you would know that many well known people on here have purchased them from him.

There are two versions, so be sure to tell him you have the GCU2 version. (He would probably confirm with you first anyway.) He shipped mine the same week, and I had it within two weeks shipped to US from Greece.

I have a Safari 22 cal and although it shoots great I feel that I can get more out of it, ideally I would tune for the most accuracy possible at 50 yards and then again for 100 then it would be nice to be able to tune way down for 25 yard plinking with a lighter pellet. So the question is if I bought a heliboard can I tune the rifle at the range with the stock on or do you have to remove the stock, is anything else needed to help with the tuning process?
