The RW HP is listed as generating 50 fpe. In .22, that would mean an increase in velocity of a 16 grain pellet to around 1200 fps. I have always obtained best accuracy in 850-900 fps range. Is the HP barrel the same twist rate? If so, then I guess it is purposefully designed for heavy pellets, which, I guess makes sense for hunting, but I have no interest in super sonic velocity.

Those 50 ft/lb aren’t for a 16gr pellet but for 34/25gr. They have a lw poly barrel and shoot great but you can’t shoot any diabolo pellet accurately at 1200fps, you have to chose low power for that pellet (around 30ft/lb)
