So I have had my Red Wolf .22 HP for a while now and to be honest I am blown away at how good this gun is , I have shot a whole bunch of bench rest out to 100 yards plus and its bang on accurate with 25 RD's , Not so great with the 34's for some reason, Not a clue why ? It worked a treat at first and then went off the boil ?? So as a hunting tool ?? Last Saturday I took it along whilst I was zeroing my Rimfire for a PRS comp in a few weeks , I was at my Farther in Law's farm and thought maybe I would take the odd pigeon maybe . So there I was sat in the field with a buddy of mine working out how the hell I am going to get my .22LR out to 300 yards when a pigeon landed just under 100 yards away , I range found it and it came in at 98 yards . I had done some groups that morning at 100 yards with he Red Wolf and all seemed really good . I thought I would try a shot as I knew the groupings were really good so dialled it up and took the shot , The pigeon fell from the tree without a flap , two mins later a magpie landed in the same branch so it got the same treatment . What a day , this tree was like a magnet to pigeons and magpies and I was busy ALL DAY , hardly got anything done with the rimfire at all . Still can't get that out to 300 yards for sure !! The Red Wolf was off the hook good all day , the groups I got at 100 and 125 yards were really good and better than the .22 LR for the most part . To say I love this rifle would be a massive understatement , the only down side is I cant find a slug that works with it as yet , I am still trying let me tell you . So for a bit of bench rest and a bit of hunting .. I dont want anything else . Its ace ! What a proper gun ... and looks the biz too .
