Several months ago, I posted results after extensive slug testing, shooting my Red Wolf HP with the standard barrel. In those tests, the FX Hybrids performed the best of the many slugs I tested, while producing nearly identical POI results at all yardage increments out to 100 yards as experienced with the 25.89 Redesigneds.
After that, I purchased several of the Hybrids and put them away for future use once I shoot-up my pellet inventory, which will take quite awhile. However, today, the wind was blowing pretty hard and was really variable. I thought it would be really good to see how the slugs and pellets compared in the wind. Wow, what a difference, is all that I can say. You can see the results for yourself. And the good news, is the standard Red Wolf will shoot slugs very well.
BTW, this rifle, in calm conditions, will consistently shoot +/- 1" ten shot groups with the pellets at this distance with no effort.
