Red wolf battery issues

I found that the inexpensive charger that came with the Red Wolf was not actually doing a good job.....in fact it was overcharging the battery which led to shorter life. I ended up buying a more capable charger (iSDT 608AC) and have had absolutely no issues with Lipo batteries since.

I ordered one. How ever each cell in a 11.1v is 3.7v. The lowest setting on charger is 4.19v . So get a warning when trying to charge

A marking of 3.7V on a cell refers to its nominal voltage. The final topping voltage for a 3.7V lithium cell is typically 4.2V, and it is not uncommon for chargers to be identified as 4.2V.

The instruction manual for the iSDT 608AC is a bit light for those who do not have previous experience with LiPO batteries. I suggest, if you haven't already done so, watching one or more youtube videos that walk thru the charger functions and operation.

Since the stock Red Wolf battery charges thru the Balance Port, when I bought my iSDT from a local RC hobby shop, they supplied me with an adapter cable for the Battery Port. The substitute battery mentioned above uses both ports.

Are you saying that the Daystate charging unit (assuming it comes with one) is crap?

Only asking because of the initial price of the gun.

They are basic chargers.

I bought a gun from someone and it came with the meter works great for testing batteries

Anyone having their RW show low battery. Then put it on the charger. Have it showing a full charge in about 30 seconds. Mine has done that twice. Happened a third time today. This time 2 outside lights went green in about 30 seconds. The middle light was amberish color. Couple minutes later it turned green.

I had a bad battery also
