I have one.

When I purchased mine from Airguns of Arizona they tried to talk me out of it, believe it or not. They kept trying to push the .22 caliber on me. Anyway, I insisted on the .303 and they finally sold it to me.

The paperwork I received from AOA listed it as shooting a 50.15 grain at 63 FPE. I purchased the programmer and now have it shooting 72 FPE with a 44.75 grain JSB. Accuracy at longer ranges is much better now using the 44.75 grain at a higher velocity.

My gun doesn't like the 50.15 grain!!!!!! Horrible accuracy as close as 50 yards. The 44.75 JSB's were extremely accurate out to 75 yards but started to suffer quite a bit at 100-125 yards. Once I started playing around with the programming I was able to get consistent accuracy out to 150 yards (the full distance of my home range).

I'm now VERY pleased with this rifle!

If you decide on the Red Wolf you should factor in the cost of a programmer as well. So, it's actually a $3,000 rifle.

In my opinion, the programmer is a must have purchase. Mine shoots like a completely different gun after programming. Higher FPS, more FPE and a flatter shot string as well.

You will sacrifice a few shots at lower bar in order to achieve the higher FPE and flatter shot string. I gave up about 5 shots 'on reg'.

My shot count went down after reprogramming, I expected this to happen. I went from around 40 shots (depending on how close to 250 bar I filled) to around 35 shots with a extreme spread of 9 FPS. 

I haven’t tried the Daystate Emperor yet. Actually, I pretty much wrote them off after the disappointing results I got with the JSB 50.15 grain.

I might order a couple of tins tonight and give them a try.

(Below 195 bar, off reg in my opinion and not counted in the shot string: 831, 829, 825, 819, 817, 814, 812, 809)



31 shots ‘on reg’ with a extreme spread of 8 FPS and 70 FPE.

I believe it was the increase in velocity coupled with a much tighter extreme spread. The stock settings were giving me everything from 778 to 735 FPS. 

Once I got out to the longer ranges I just wasn’t able to get any sort of consistency. 

I primarily shoot steel targets and I’m now able to hit my 2” and 3” gongs at 150 yards over and over and over again, which is very good for me.

Prior to programming I was able to hit my 1” and 2” gongs at 50 and 75 yards with no problem. Push it out to 100 or 125 yards and it was like flipping a coin, hit or miss, no consistency at all. Forget about 150 yards, I couldn’t hit a thing.
