First post here. I was wondering if a half decent red dot scope on a beeman p1 will get torn up like non airgun scope will. I'm not going to go real cheap on a red dot. About 100 bucks is my budget. (I got 100 in cabelas cards). I just tried my son's cheap tasco red dot for about 20 shots and these 53 year old eyes loved it. Thanks for any help. Dave

The one I have on my P1 is holding up OK. Sorry, I don't remember the exact make (away from home right now). I used a riser adapter by BKL to go from the extra wide dovetail to picatinny rail. The extra mass of the adapter helps smooth out the recoil

My HW45 wrecked a cheap ($20) red dot. Got some advice from Sightmark (Sellmark) re: springer rated reflex sight. Put on their "mini shot" with UTG #DTP adapter. Worked fine, but I'm back to open sights now. Those seemingly little 2 moa and 3 moa dots are just too big for precision at 10M. Another family member uses the mini shot on a CO2 pistol now.

I have a Millet SP-1 Red Dot on my .177cal P1 for close to ten years and a few thousand pellets. It has held up well.
