Currently looking for a red dot for 100 yards and under. Recommendations for size of dot. Is a 4 moa dot to big ?

I have a Bushy TSR which is 3 MOA and I think it's too big, YMMV. All depends on how small your target and how close you're shooting, mostly.

100 yards is tough to see pellet holes in paper with less than a 10x scope. Even shooting cans at 100 yards is tough with less than 10x.
I try to aim small to miss small. I want to choose which eyelash on the squirrel I am going to hit. I want to see the pellet hole if possible. Red dots don't do it for me.

I would have to agree with deepbass, a 3 moa dot is too big past 50 yards on small game. You would need a 1 or 2 moa red dot, but those are pretty pricey. Even then it would be a challenge reaching out past 50 yards without any magnification, unless you are trying to hit human sized targets or something similar.

I have 2 moa Sig Sauer $250.00 red dot. I love it. Tiny dot and rugged build quality. Small dot is a must have.

I have a Zeiss 1 or 2 MOA mounted on the side of my rifle. It works great for close up work, allowing the scope to do the long work.
Both are bonuses is different ways.
