Just wondering, I didn’t see an answer when I researched. Are red dot or reflex sites more able to withstand the recoil of a magnum springer than a scope?

If you are looking for springer rated optics you should look at utg or maybe hawke. Im pretty sure they have both. Some companies will not cover issues that arise if you mount it to an air rifle because they are specifically designed to handle gun recoil which is diff then spring air rifle recoil. As long as you get either or from a company that claims they can be used on spring guns then i think they would be equivalent but thats imo.
After watching some videos, some people say that lighter optics like red dots/ reflex can be better because the recoil cannot upon it as much. Where as a heavy scope would absorb more of the shock.

I wish I could answer your question but I can't. I mounted a vortex spark on my .30 cal hatson springer (kicks like a mule) and it is holding up just fine. I put the Vortex on it knowing that if it doesn't hold up they will replace it no questions asked...don't even need proof of purchase.

Got the vortex amg on my Impact MKII but bought it for my Benelli Super Nova shot gun nothing can stop it but it's a high end holographic 1moa red holographic sight good up to 50yards with the 3Xmagnifier
