Red dot mounting question

I bought a cheap Bushnell TRS-25 red dot to put on my PP700. I forgot I would need a 1mm airgun to Picatinny adapter. I would like to keep the optic low I think. Will the UTG adapter provide enough height to raise the scope out of the rear sight plane? Or do I want something higher.

One of those little spring loaded UTG adapters will work fine. You can just take the rear sight off if it’s close.

after a while you have a drawer full of that stuff and you never have to wait

if something looks like it will work and you don't need it buy one, I know it doesn't make sense but then again I have 10 of those adapters you need sitting in that drawer waiting for my next project

they also have those same adapters in 7 and 13 slots, there on Ebay, I have been meaning to buy some for my drawer, that's really 3 containers

the little utg adapter is the only one that doesn't raise the sight higher. They are already too high above the bore axis as it.



I put the Picatinny mount in the mill, and did away with all of the picatinny mounting hardware. I milled it very thin, with the slot milled in to fit the 11mm rail, and screwed here down. Much lower!

Next, I will probably mill away the porting of the 11mm rail to mount it even lower. Much like what is done with pistols set up with the adapters in place. ;<)
