Recommendations on NJ legal multi-shot .22 caliber springers

I searched on some online stores, I know most won't even ship to NJ, but I can't seem to find any .22 caliber springers that are multi-shot, and without some kind of sound suppression moderators. Gamo Swarm and Crosman Mag-fire are probably out of the question, but is there anything else? How about the Umarex Synergis? Is fully-shrouded barrel or a baffleled barrel necessarily mean sound suppression?

Division of Fish and Wildlife web site says "the ultimate responsibility lies with the person using the gun to determine if it is equipped with a silencer per the law by contacting the firearm's manufacturers." that seems rather odd to me because it seems that they think if you break the law is up to your own interpretation.

What is the DFW's definition of a "Firearm"? Does/can that definition be used to accurately describe an air rifle? I know the laws are very tight in NJ regarding air rifles. I wasn't under the impression that they were quite that restrictive! Geez! I'm glad I left when I did. Never looked back. I wish you the best of luck.

Isn't "interpreting the law in such a way as to sway others perspectives" commonly referred to as "being a lawyer"? lol!

I do have a FID and I own several real FIREarms, something that actually burns. Actually NJ doesn't have a limit on the long guns and doesn't require registrations. Oh, yes, I can't wait to leave here but most likely that won't happen for another 15 or 20 years. Now I just want to find a multi-shot .22 caliber air rifle that won't get me into trouble in this authoritarian state.

One time I ordered some BBs from a seller on eBay in Jersey and he messaged me and said he could not send them. He told me that he had the same problem with a lot of Buyers.I told him there was no restrictions where I lived and he said he couldn’t understand what the problem was and had no choice but to cancel the order. But far as the Umarex Multi shot, look at all the reviews on that gun. They didn’t look good to me. I was considering one a while back but changed my mind after seeing the problems people were talking about. But there are other multi shot springers that have problems too Although you will hear some people say mine works great. That’s just something you will have to decide if you want to take the chance or not. I prefer single shot break barrels myself. But good luck finding what you like.

One way to suppress a firearm is to buy a long barrelled .22LR bolt rifle and shoot Aguila Sniper SubSonic ammo. Aguila SSS uses the barrel as a suppressor. All the speed is gained in the first foot of travel. After that, the gas is expanding and cooling. Pressure is quite low when the 60 grain bullet exits the barrel. I shoot it in my CZ 452 with 24" barrel. The noise suppression is very noticeable even compared to standard 40 grain .22LR subsonic ammo. Sounds somewhat similar to my BSA Lonestar .25 cal rifle. It attains 900 FPS and over 100 FPE from my CZ 452. Aguila SSS shoots even better from a Ruger 77/22 as it has a looser bore than a CZ 452 and you will get a little more speed from it, about the maximum speed that a .22 cal bullet needs to travel without going transonic and causing noticeable noise by itself. Because of the short case and excessive gas leakage in the chamber, a Ruger 10/22 is a very poor choice for Aguila SSS. Must use a long barrelled bolt gun to get maximum noise suppression. Aguila SSS was so dirty that it fouled the magazine in my 10/22 and I had to dissasssemble the magazine and clean it to get it working again. It also fouled the receiver and caused failure to cycle, requiring a disassembly of the receiver and complete cleaning to restore functioning. It can do this in as little as two magazines of ammo through the 10/22. With a bolt gun, no problem as all gases exit the barrel. The 60 grain bullet tumbles on impact and dissipates a lot of energy into the target, without the need for expansion for dramatic knockout effect. Aguila SSS was suppossedly developed for covert military operations to take out guard dogs and guards at close range without the need for a suppressor on a standard .22LR bolt rifle. Of course, use of a suppressor will reduce the report even further, something like a 12 FPE air rifle with a moderator.

P.S. As Bob Dylan states on the original Traveling Wilburys album, in Jersey everything is legal if you don't get caught.
