If the Steyr Hunter Scout Auto 5 was available in .25 that would be one to consider. I have the .22 and love it. But, it isn't available in .25 and since the US distributors have conspired to restrict imports, the rifle is no longer worth the price.
Regarding searching. I may contemplate/search for information about something I may be interested in for more than a year. I'm about to conclude such a search on a very high end rimfire rifle very soon. Forums like this are always part of my search. I get information, ideas, and sometimes even discover something else to study that I didn't yet know about. I read a lot of the "Best" articles from many sources. Often it seems those best this or that are simply compilations of someone else's search of feedback on the web. Frankly, a place like Airgun Nation is closer to the end user than those folks who have never held an air rifle they are simply "influencers".
In the end of course we collect information, experience, and opinions and each of us will make our choice.
Now for my entirely irrelevant pocket change: I've owned two bottle guns. I'll never own another. I'm an avid archer and love recurve bows, but I can't stand the look of a longbow. The aesthetic of bottles is a turn-off for me even though I know they are very practical from a shot-count standpoint.
