Recommendation on a Chronograph

The pro Chrono is about the best there is. I find 2 things about mine that if I don't do them, I get errors. Number 1 is put the shades on top in the sunlight. The readers need that backdrop to see the pellet shadow. And number 2 is, I have to move the muzzle closer. Like maybe a foot from the chrono.

Hope that helps some.

Competition Electronics recently released the ProChrono DLX which has the Bluetooth adapter built-in. I will be using my indoors, so I also got the lighting kit, and it worked for what I wanted. I prefer metric and for that you have to every time both (1) power up the chrono with the review button held, and (2) switch the shot string in the app to metic. I hope they fix in the future device. The Android app works well but needs a bit of polish, and I believe they were receptive to my suggestions. They were working on the next version app when I chatted with them last week.

I could not justify the cost, but you may want to also check out MagnetoSpeed V3 and the Labradar.

a chrony just for air guns (sorry, PB will blow this one into bits) is the Combro. I've used it and never had a miss. Only works for air rifles though. Nothing wrong with having two chronographs. it's incredibly convenient too. just rubber band it onto the barrel. I also have the Caldwell, like it and when I set it up right, rarely misses. Always use the sun shades though.

Ive had my pro chrono digital for about 15 - 18 years now and have shot arrows, handgun rounds and rifle up to 338 win mag and I’ve had no issues that were not caused by me and that is lighting need the right type of light, no fluorescent lights other then that it’s been a good chrono, I added the Bluetooth digital link last year, can’t go wrong for the price. One of my defusers broke today when I moved it but no big deal.
