Recommend me a scope for 2240 pistol carbine.

As with all us nuts I have a 2240 that started out as a pistol, but now has a nice carbine stock and a longer 14" barrel. So as is, I've been using a simple little 3-12 BugBuster on it as it has worked great. I'm noticing that the glass is getting fuzzy, kinda fogish like and a little yellowed. So, I'd like to upgrade to a slightly nicer scope but still keep it small and light.

If anyone has any recommendations for the following I'd really appreciate it:
MIL/MOA - no real preference here but it's gotta be MIL/MIL or MOA/MOA - don't want MIL reticle with MOA clicks
FFP/SFP - no preference for this one.
Parallax - gotta be down to 10yards and adjustable - can be side or front focus.
Diameter - probably keep things small and light with 1"
Zoom range: Low end - 2 to 3x, high end 9-12x would be nice. Might also consider a fixed zoom in 10x or 12x
Reticle - something with basic holdovers, not just a duplex
Length - would like to stay under 12", 10" even better
Weight - the lighter the better
Price: would like to stay under $200, but may go up to $250 depending on options.

I've ruled out so far: Discovery/Vector 3-12 - nice scope but to chunky and heavy for this setup.

Was consider the MTC Viper Connect SL 3-12 with the really short eye relief. Had one a few years back and it's a nice light scope.

I have been eyeballing a Fire Wolf 2-7x24 with IR scope off of ebay, very small and compact and light with a nice reticle for about 80 buks for my Prod carbine. Also has parallax adjustment down to 10yds.

A little lower mag than you are asking for, but a 5x24 or 5x30 Immersive Optics with a single 1.25" BKL double strap would work great. Focuses down to 6 yards, you will love the FoV.

Here's my 5x24 on my 1720T carbine.

Bugbuster for sure.
Sometimes you have to just admit you've been a total idiot and didn't check to see if it was plugged in, right?

I was showing my son and we were talking about the scope getting fuzzy. I've had the sun shield on it and haven't really checked INSIDE the shield while the gun usually leans in a corner near my workdesk with the butt on the ground. I just happened to glance down the sun shield and the lens was covered in a thick layer of dust.

Well $100 saved with a quick cleaning. Feeling tail between my legs right now - lol.
