I have yet to own a HW35E. Wanting to get the wife into springers. She is 5'2 and petite. Both of us are not young pups any more (50's or just shy of). Would the HW35E in .177 be a good pick for her?
My wife is a petite sweetheart as well. She has enjoyed her easy to manage R7 for about 35 years, or more. You'll probably like it too!I have yet to own a HW35E. Really nice rifle. I sold m HW30 in the near past to buy a Beeman R7. Same action, but IMO a better stock. And did I say accurate?Hw30 is a better pick. It's 2 plus pounds lighter and much easier to use. Here's my wife with her's.
Both guns have the same long reach to the trigger that may be a stretch for her. My wife is 5'9" and manages ok. If your wife has short fingers she may need a set back trigger on either gun.
The length of pull on the Hw30s is 14" not particularly short either. I never measured it but the length of pull on the Hw35 is probably like other Weihrauchs which is around a half inch longer than the Hw30s.

That's a private club range in Freeport NY. It's on the Freeport PBA property. They share the range use. It's not cheap but it's well run and the 50' indoor range is open 24/7/365 for members. Belonging there is necessary because I can't shoot a pellet gun in my NY backyard without helicopters and swat teams. I didn't renew this year because I'm relocating to Arkansas this summer. There I'll have enough room geographically and politically to shoot anything I want at anytime.post # 2 , that is a great looking range good berm with a solid looking fence on top ( and of course a lovely wife )
as for rifles i like the HW 30 or 50
Having had other HW's, I'm not impressed with the HW30s received today. IMHO, feels and assembled like a low tier rifle in the HW lineup to ME. I'm in remorse and unfortunately she bought it with her money. Biting my tongue.Order placed with AoA on the 30s. Thanks everyone for the advice, we will at least post a picture of the rifle when received.
Hmm, that's a bummer. When I was looking at a few HW's I kinda got the feeling that the 30 was the base model so to speak? Post a couple photos of your new rifle.Having had other HW's, I'm not impressed with the HW30s received today. IMHO, feels and assembled like a low tier rifle in the HW lineup to ME.
