Received new MAR177 fully charged with air

I received a new MAR177 today from whom I consider a reputable online retailer that the air gauge is indicating 3000 psi. I purchased a marauder last year I am pretty sure it came empty. Maybe there is some thing wrong or is that the current pratice. I am going to call them Monday. I just wanted to get some input, reassurance or suggestions.

I'd put some ammo in and take a few shots and record all data then refill, shoot, record all data again and compare notes. 

I I wasn't aware you could ship them under pressure, but what do I know...

I was thinking it would be shipped empty. Mine came fedex ground but if they sold it to some one who wanted it 2nd air I would think they would have to depresurize it. I use a hand pump and I was so I was expecting to do quite a bite of pumping tonight. Just seeing the full gauge has thrown me for a loop. Maybe it just being overly cautious.

They can be charged when shipped by ground. If its shipped by air it has to be empty.

My AT44 came fully charged.
