Received My Hand Pump - Odoyle Recommended

Hi Forum Participants,

I've received my hand pump today, (The Maximus Rifle arrived yesterday or the day before.) This pump looks very good!

Mine has chrome tubes it appears. The instruction pamphlet suffers from poor translation into English though. I think the

instructions are telling me to buy a certain lubricant, and then fairly quickly, after a few pumps, I need to add the lubricant

into the tube system. Then again, after a few more pumps, apply some lubricant onto the tube that slides within the larger

tube. Any clarifications that you all can make would be very much appreciated! (See instruction pamphlet at bottom of post.)

I have one. Works pretty well. If you use them a lot they will start to get hard to pump pretty quickly there a few different things that you can do to restore them back to like new function. I finally figured out how to do this and now I have three of these things working perfectly whereas I thought I would have to buy a new one in the past.

Do not use engine oil!

Your pump can cause a diesel detonation in the presence of petroleum oil. No bueno.

Silicone oil. Never use anything petroleum based.

Buying local you probably pay $6 - $8 for only 4 ounces from Home Depot or Lowes or Walmart or ACE.

Check your local RC Car hobby shop who knows them shock absorber silicone oil might be cheap IDK?

A buck per ounce sounds reasonable if they bottle their own from gallon containers.
