Received a new Brocock XR Sniper Magnum .25...it goes back

Box was opened before I received it. (Someone's return?)Cloudy air gauge and a magazine body that does not align with the cylinder (will shave pellets,,) 

I was stewing between this and a crown. This made it real easy..Crown.

To be fair the Sniper looks quality has good balance for offhand shooting. Nice smooth easy side lever cocking. I'm just not dealing with issues (minor or not) on new out of box (claimed). Will see how AD handles it.

I will second Yo’s recommendation of ordering from Ken at SPAW...recently received a RAW HM1000x LRT that was tuned by Ken, shoots exactly how I ordered it tuned to my specs! You will not be disappointed.

Hang on a sec - before you bitch too much about the magazine I learned something while owning my Brocock XR. The magazine, when shot empty, will sit skewed like that - it is not a flaw. If you rotate it a little bit you will see if clicks into place for the first round and should be lined up.

It appears the pawl in the magazine stops the rotation of the drum and this dictates the alignment . At least 

This is how it appears to me. I did click it into other positions with same results. Un loaded though. Pellets in it would change things?If there's more to it I love me some edjumacation. ( :

I have yet to see a REFURB Daystate or Brocock. 

They're made in the UK(England) and not made in China so they can't just be toss into the trash and give the customer a new one. Has to be resold somehow.

Sounds like you might have a machining error in your mag, it happens. The only magazines I have owned that were consistently good, were Weihrauch and Taipan, both of which are simple cylinders, like a revolver, with direct mechanical control, no springs.

I wonder what happened to that gauge? If you look at the barrel above it you can see something also sprayed/splattered there too. Almost looks like something sprayed inside the gauge, clouding it, and escaped around it too, splattering the barrel....

Good eyes. For sure something blew out around that HUMA gauge. Lube?

Airventuri owns both Pyramyd air and Airgun depot. They share some of the Ohio (Pyramyd) warehouse and primarily use the service there as well.

The face of the gauge had some sticky goo on it that left the plastic

Lenses rough and cloudy from the outside.

Hello

I might be able to clear up no pun intended the gauge issue. The cloudy appearance is most likely from the clear protective sticker glue used to keep it in place. A little goo gone should clear it up no issues. The sticker is used for shipping protection. 

The magazine hole when empty does not line up perfectly. This is by design. If the hole does not line up when rotated and the actuator level indexes into place then the magazine needs help.

The sweet little Concept Lite XR that I've been reviewing had some pretty stubborn goo on the face of the gauge from the protective sticker. So stubborn that it did in fact feel rough like you're saying. 

I used rubbing alcohol and had to get pretty serious. 

Just an FYI, sounds like yours could have something else going on.
