I was perusing the Daystate PDF catalog on their site and saw a picture of one of their rifles with a flip up scope cap with a rectangular window cut in it. Have not seen that before. Anyone know what the purpose is ?
There's many covers that have clear cover lenses in them. For quick...target acquisition, no need to flip up the covers. I have two with clear lenses (cheap plastic) in them. Just not seen a square one !
And in common with many other MTC Optics models, the King Cobra 4-16×50 F2 comes complete with a set of magnetic flip covers, the rear one of which contains a 2x magnifier to help shooters read the parallax and turret verniers.
