I noticed that too!A young fox with a cast on his leg. Must have wrecked his bicycle or skateboard.
That is actually a respectable option. All the rest of us are like START BLASTIN!!!Red fox, with a venomous snake bite to his left rear leg. Or an infection in it, pretty sure that is why he looks bad, can't catch his prey. Either take him out, or antibiotics in some dog food for him my help.
I tend not to shoot the foxes around here, they keep the mice and rats in check. As long as they don't get my hens, I'm fine with them. If I see one suffering or sick, different story. This one in the pic is definitely no bueno.
We probably have the same reason for our disappearing squirrelsDefinitely a red fox from how long the legs are. I don’t have chickens so zero issues with foxes, we have grey foxes as they keep the rodent population in check. If I see a sick fox like that I definitely will put out some dog food for it to help it along. Too bad I don’t have many squirrels to feed them these days.![]()
