I had read that Martin has opened a new business that does repairs. I’m not sure if the old plant is still manufacturing in Tennessee or they moved to Texas where the new owners have the Airforce Air gun factory.

Martin wont be leaving Minor Hill, no one does it is paradise.

I personally an greatly hoping for the return of the MFR, just love that design and with a CF bottle would purr.

IVE talked with both SANDRA from RAW and RACHEL from AIR FORCE last week,,, all calls are forwarded to AF ,,,THATS where the money goes ,,,YOU WOULD be doing yourself a favor by contacting AIR FORCE ... they may direct you to use the RAW order form,,, on the RAW website,,i can see where that can be a challenge considering any custom work u may want takes a 2 sided conversation to get it perfect ,,,,HYNZIE

I would like to have an original Mk2 or a MFR, but a RAW with a bolt action doesn't make sense to me. I am also not close to being sold on AirForce, judging their by current offerings. Time will tell.

I look at the airforce/RAW buy out. Like I would if Timex bought Rolex. You know changes are coming but will they resolve existing problems or create new ones. I was considering a Raw purchase but now that’s on an indefinite hold until I see what going to happen.

I'm glad I got my RAW's before the merger happened. I spoke with Martin the other day and he is still going to be doing repairs, tuning and upgrades for his customers rifles.

I don’t think it was a merger the RAW business was sold and the old owners have a non compete clause in the contract.

When I heard about the sale I jumped on a used HMX. Sent it to Martin to put back to his specks. I tried a Condor and did not like it at all. Since then I have not seen any more RAWs for sale. I wonder if owners are thinking they now have an original of a very popular gun? I also wonder about all those on the wait list for a Martin built gun.

All I know is I have three, and thought of selling my BM-500 that I have put into TM thumbhole stock. now I’m not so sure I should? Cause I guarantee you no other manufacturer can tune those guns (pre-delivery) like Martin!
