shot this in a construction project ,called my back yard ,I searched hi and low for this TACTICAL STOCK not many out there was able to get MARK ,B to part with this one which I understand is 1 of 5 ,,

Ok let see if I can post this . Had this guy since 2016 and...have done alot to it. Had a poly hex barrel installed , Had Ken H, give it a tune up , I fixed a stock split. Fixed the inlet (recever fit to tightly into the stock hence the split). Fixed the unstable cheek colm put in bigger fasteners and some nylon inserts its rock solid now. Refinished the stock It was checking in places and of course the split repair I wanted to blend that in . (used true oil ) . And Sigh...installed a Huma Reg still to early to see if it was worth that expense. This guy has been my social distancing project.

Nicely done

Hey guys-it's been a while! I hope you're all doing well and enjoying your shooting. I've recently started picking up my guns and shooting a bit more lately and wanted to ask if anyone has tried the new .25 cal JSB Hades pellets in their RAW HM1000X's yet? I ran out of paper targets so I picked up a tin to see if they would shoot at all. Being that they're quite a bit lighter, I don't expect much in terms of performance from them so I only got one tin to try out.

Just thought I'd ask...

I have, its easy to install, but not as easy to adjust as a FX gun, requires you to do some disassembly and to degas the gun when you adjust it . I have been happy with mine I have a slightly smaller velocity deviation and it seems to settle down after charges more quickly. I bought the test gauge fixture as well you screw that into where the block off plug for the plenum is on the bottom of the Receiver assembly / (valve block).

Np so looking at your posts on other forums you seem to have some technical expertise with the barrel systems on Raws/Rapids. I have a Raw1000x as you saw in my pics.

And I have a question for you as well. Have you ever heard of the POI changing if you grab a OME Raw by the asymmetric moderator and it happens to rotate inadvertently. I have found that mine will do that. even with the barrel bushing screwed in tightly. (but not so tight you strip the damm thing). The asymmetric moderator looks cool But.....in my opinion seems to be problematic. Sigh..... what do you think?

Yes, I have heard it mentioned although I struggle to understand why exactly. The only explanation I can come up with (and this might be utter BS) is that because the barrel is offset to the moderator, the pressure acting on pellet as the escaping air expands into the chambers, somehow pushes the pellet off course but doesn’t actually cause it to clip. A slight rotational change in the mod would show as a poi change on target.

What would be an interesting experiment, zero the gun with the mod on, now rotate the mod through 180 degrees and see if there is a noticeable poi shift. If the above explanation is true, the poi shift should be in the vertical plain.

Also try the gun with the mod completely removed, the only poi shift with a well made mod should be due to the way it affects the harmonics and not change regardless of its orientation on the barrel.

On of the reason why I like RAW’s and Rapids is the fact that they can take a knock and rarely suffer poi shift, for me, it is a disappointment if the mod is the cause of poi shift.

Hope this helps
