RAW REPORT

25gr RD Monsters, 950fps

Dear Ken,

I just put a .22 barrel in my HM1000x .25 60 ftlb gun.

Please guide me about the now required regulator pressure?

And other adjustments so that I may be able to shoot .22 25 grain redesigned pellets at around 935fps with good efficiency.

And also the desired adjustment to shoot 18 grain pellets at around 970 fps with good efficiency.

I have also sent you an e mail a couple of days ago but did nor receive any reply yet.

I need your guidance as I am far far away from US and can't send the gun to you for such adjustments.

Please advise.

Regards,

Umair Bhaur

I have indexed the barrel with some upgrades in barrel and TP. Martin also refused me to index the barrel.

Here are pics.

You can’t index a HM or HMx, unless it has a thimble or modified like mubhaur has done,( in that case w/ a thimble then yes no standard RAW magazine will work ) but I don’t know why you would want to? Martin has already done that in his test action prior to drilling the transfer port anyway (now if your putting a new barrel on one of those actions you’re on your own!)

I have e mailed to Martin as well as Ken Hikks regarding the guidance for me regarding the optimum balance of reg pressure, HST, hammer weight etc. But surprisingly none have given any details, rather no reply received.

I expected great post sale guidance for users like me who can't send back their guns to US for desired work.

I still wait for the guidance otherwise I would have to dig it out myself which may take time.

Finally cleared a shooting lane out to 100 yards off my deck and setup a hanging gong array, with a future row for hanging up targets.

That’s what I need to do with my 100 yard target, right now because of my hill it looks like it’s at ground level but raising it up like that would make it easier to see, thanks for the idea Sean.

Nice Terry. What a pretty girl she is.

What changes are you making?

Crusher

Hi Crusher,

I am not sure I will but I have thought of changing the trigger guard area.

I am just not sure I like how flat and blocky it is. But I want to shoot it for a while first and see if I want to do anything.

We shall see.

I will say I shot a few rounds this afternoon and found that yes indeed the BM stock is a huge advantage for precision shooting.

I knew this but it is nice to see the thoughts validated.

Okay the wait is over. Sort of.....

I ordered this on July 5th, and it just came in today 12/15.

So I ordered this in Buckskin since i have never seen one in that color.

I have a couple small changes I want to do, so I asked them not to do the finish on it

Beautiful Gun Terry! I can't wait to receive my new action so I can join the 'complete gun club', LOL. Your's looks like an awesome gun!

The two 100 yard plates at the bottom of the black circle looks like they are sitting in the grass when your sitting at the bench but they really are about 4ft off the ground.

Jim,

No problem-I actually decided to make some good use out of my old deck boards and some scraps of the new material that I had laying around. I've been wanting to move out to 100 yards off my deck range, and finally did it now that the leaves are fallen. The side boards started off as 13' boards, but then got trimmed down a few feet. Since I live in the Kettle Moraine forest, there is a LOT of rolling terrain that I have to contend with...
