RAW HMx .357

Thanks for that, spysir; I really like the RAW HMx .357. The power is perfect for me at a regulated 130 ft#, which is commensurate with a .22lr rimfire. The shot count of 16 per fill is about right, given I'm getting 40 shots with my Impact at about half the power. What I'll miss if I trade in my Impact for the RAW is the field-swappable bottles. I can handle going from 80 shots (I have a spare bottle) in the field to 32, but only 16 is pushin' it. (The Impact spoiled me ;-).)

The great thing about the air gun industry at this point in time is that the technology curve is so steep! I started this air gun journey only six months ago. At that time, I was searching for what the new RAW HMx .357 offers now in regulated power, and there was nothing out there. So, I'm going to wait a little while (enjoying my Impact) and keep an eye on the market for innovations. Maybe six months from now, a company will come out with what I'm looking for.

I need to amend my parent post somewhat in that Martin Rutterford, founder of RAW, has informed me that the new RAW HMx .357 (130ft# regulated) does indeed feature field-swappable bottles! This now gives me 32 shots (regulated) in the field with a spare bottle. On the strength of this and the fact that I found an awesome backpack to carry this long gun, I ordered one of these beauts with the thumbhole Forest laminate stock! The Eberlestock G2 Gunslinger II backpack offered by Midway (https://www.midwayusa.com/backpacks-and-tactical-bags/br?cid=20621) accommodates long guns up to 60" in length, either butt-down or barrel-down. (The new RAW is 47" long.)
