Greetings. I just bought a used RAW and previous owner dry fired the airgun without air pressure a few times. Also shot cleaning pellets through it (with pressure of course). How will I know if the valve is bent? If it is will it effect accuracy? Can I replace it myself? Thanks

If the valve is bent, it will not seal the exhaust properly (it will leak out of the barrel). It could do this irregularly during a shooting session or may get stuck in the open position and not seal at all. It might affect accuracy if the valve doesn't open or close consistently, resulting in large variations of velocity. I've not seen this; typical symptom is the exhaust valve leaks. If you are mechanically inclined this is something that can be replaced if you order the valve body assy with the exhaust valve from RAW.

If it's bent it wouldn't seal like stated it's doubtful that it's bent I've ran the as thin as .090 in the throat area with heavier hammers and never bent one
