I am selling this rifle to a friend who has bought numerous rifles from me over the last year. The last one was an AZ Zebra Wood stocked, CRX FT rifle. This one is obviously a RAW. I modified the stock 10+ years ago for my Theoben long range Bench shooting attempts. This barrel and stock combination have shot many sub half inch groups at 100 yards. Quite a few years ago I shot it all summer at 200 yards with pellets, and finally managed to shoot a sub MOAgroup at 200 yards, five shots. It took me many months of trying.
He’s planning to shoot Benchrest with it, I wanted to make sure it was still shooting well. I haven’t had it out for years.
I put an inexpensive 24X hawk scope on it. And started shooting at 50. Obviously it was performing well. So before it became too dark I ran a target out to 100 yards. Then I ran downstairs and got some of my 18 grain silver tin JSBs. I shot three groups, this was the third. One of the shots surprised me, the one to the right of the rest of them. I was quite pleased with this group. It is just over half an inch hovering right around 1/2 MOA...not bad for a 22 at
, Possibly the price should be higher?
Needless to say, conditions were excellent.
